Belles Hot Chicken EatClub review:
Can you really get a sit-down restaurant lunch for $12 in Sydney?
I put EatClub to the test at Belles Hot Chicken — and the result surprised me.

Why I Chose Belles Hot Chicken
On a Sunday afternoon, I headed to Belles Hot Chicken. It’s an upscale fried chicken restaurant with a bar, proper seating, and a lively vibe — very different from your usual fast-food stop. I’d normally grab something quick like KFC or Guzman y Gomez for lunch, but this time I wanted to see if I could get a restaurant-level meal at a fast-food price.

The Deal – How Much I Saved
Here’s the breakdown of my lunch:
- Menu price: $14.90
- Sunday surcharge (10%): $1.65
- Normal total: $16.55
- EatClub discount: 28% off (-$4.63)
- Service fee: $0.40
- Final price paid: $12.32

That’s a saving of $4.23, which might not sound huge — but when you compare it against what $15–17 usually buys at KFC or GYG, it feels like a win.
What I Ordered & Honest Thoughts
I ordered the Supreme Hot Chicken Sandwich.
- It came stacked with the equivalent of two crispy tenders inside a soft milk bun.
- Pickles, lettuce, and sauce added the right amount of crunch and flavour.
- A side of chips was included, making it a proper meal rather than just a sandwich.
- Portion size was solid — I left feeling full and satisfied.
Overall: hot, crispy, filling, and definitely above fast-food quality.

Comparison – Is It Worth It vs. Fast Food?
Here’s how it stacked up against other popular lunches:
- Belles Hot Chicken Sandwich + Chips → $12.32 (after EatClub discount). Upscale restaurant vibes, proper table seating, and better quality chicken.
- KFC Original Tenders Box → $14.45. Comes with chips, drink, and sides, but it’s classic fast food — smaller tenders, less flavour, tray-style dining.
- Guzman y Gomez Burrito → $16.20. Fresh and filling, but still more expensive and more of a takeaway feel.
GYG Burrito $16.20

KFC Original Tenders $14.45

For basically the same price (or less), you’re eating at a sit-down restaurant with better atmosphere and ingredients.
Final Thoughts – Would I Go Again?
Absolutely. For solo lunches, a casual date, or even a group of friends (1–6 people), Belles is a steal when booked through EatClub. It’s like upgrading from economy to premium economy without paying the extra — you get a better experience for the same spend.
I’d rate this 5/5 for value and taste.
EatClub Hack of the Week
Tip #1: Check EatClub on weekends. Even with surcharges, the discounts usually make the meal cheaper than fast food — and you often get better quality.
Is EatClub Worth It for Sydney?
For me, absolutely. Deals like this feel like redeeming frequent flyer points — you’re getting more for the same budget. With one receipt at a time, the savings add up, and it makes eating out feel guilt-free in today’s cost-of-living crunch.
